A PLACE TO STAY
WHILE HOME IS FIXED
Haydock · Short Notice Placements
Self-contained apartments for policyholders displaced by fire, flood or escape of water. Whole homes rather than hotel rooms — with a kitchen, a washer dryer, room for the family and a travel cot and highchair on request, for as long as the repairs take.
Who Are You?
This page covers both sides of an insurance placement. Jump to whichever fits.
Insurers, Adjusters & Agents
Placing a policyholder and need availability, terms and an invoice that goes to you rather than to them.
See placement details →Policyholders & Families
Out of your home after a fire, flood or leak, and trying to work out where you are staying and who pays for it.
See what happens next →Straightforward To Place, Straightforward To Bill
Two self-contained apartments in Haydock, five minutes from M6 Junction 23 — easy to reach from across the North West, and easy to keep a family in while the repairs run.
Short Notice Placements
Call and we will tell you straight away what is free and from when. Self check-in means a family can be in the same day where the calendar allows — no waiting on an office to open.
Invoiced To You, Not The Family
We bill the insurer, loss adjuster or relocation agent directly against your claim or purchase order reference, so the policyholder is never asked to front the cost of their own displacement.
Extensions Without A Renegotiation
Repairs slip. Where the calendar allows we extend at the agreed rate rather than repricing, so a delayed strip-out or a late drying certificate does not turn into a second placement.
A Home, Not A Hotel Room
Own front door, full kitchen, living room and a washer dryer. Over a placement measured in weeks that is the difference between a family coping and a complaint landing back with you.
Room For The Family
The two bedroom sleeps a family of up to four and the one bedroom a couple or single — up to six guests across our two separate apartments. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, so there is nothing extra to pack.
Keeps People Near Home
Five minutes from M6 J23 and the A580, within reach of Warrington, St Helens, Wigan and both cities — so school runs, work and site visits to the damaged property all stay manageable.
The Details You Need
The things that usually decide whether a property suits a placement — in one place, so you are not chasing them by email.
Beds Made, Bills Paid, Door Open
Nothing to set up and nothing to connect. The apartments are furnished, stocked and running — a family can arrive with a bag and start living the same evening.
Out Of Your Home? Here’s How It Works
Being told you cannot go home is a horrible day. The accommodation part of it, at least, is more straightforward than it feels right now.
Speak To Your Insurer First
Most home policies include alternative accommodation while your home is uninhabitable. Ring your insurer or the loss adjuster handling the claim and ask them to authorise it — they arrange and pay for the stay, and they will usually want to approve the property before you move in.
Point Them At Us
Give them this page, or our number. We will confirm what is available and send them everything they need. If you would rather we spoke to them directly, tell us who is handling the claim and we will take it from there.
We Bill Them, Not You
Once it is authorised, the invoice goes to your insurer or the adjuster against your claim reference. You should not be putting weeks of accommodation on your own card and waiting to be reimbursed.
Move In And Settle
We send your access details before you arrive, so you can get in whatever time you get here. The beds are made, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook, and the Wi-Fi is already on.
Stay As Long As The Works Take
Repairs almost always run longer than the first estimate. If yours do, tell us and we will extend where the calendar allows — you should not be packing again in the middle of it all.
Not sure whether you are covered? Check your policy for “alternative accommodation”, “loss of rent” or “additional living costs” — it is included on most buildings and contents policies, often with a limit per claim. If you are struggling to get an answer out of anyone, call us anyway on (07851) 055204. We deal with adjusters regularly and can usually tell you who to chase.
Two Self-Contained Apartments
Two separate, self-contained homes with their own front door — not a room on a corridor. The two bedroom suits a family of up to four; the one bedroom a couple or single.
Best For Families
The Two Bedroom Apartment
Two proper bedrooms and an open plan living and dining room — enough space for a family to live normally rather than camp out, for however long the repairs take.

- Fully equipped kitchen with washer dryer — cook and do laundry as normal
- Living and dining room with a 65″ wall-mounted smart TV
- Allocated and visitor parking in a secure gated car park, with a public EV charger nearby
- Travel cot and highchair available on request
Couples & Singles
The One Bedroom Apartment
A comfortable self-contained base for one or two. Everything needed for a longer stay, with a proper living room rather than a bed and a kettle.

- Large corner sofa and a wall-mounted smart TV
- Fully equipped kitchen and superfast full fibre Wi-Fi
- Plenty of free parking on site
- Travel cot and highchair available on request
Somewhere To Live, Not Just Sleep
A placement measured in weeks needs a kitchen, a sofa and somewhere to put the washing — the things a hotel room quietly makes impossible.
Call Us And We Will Tell You Straight
Whether you are an adjuster placing a family this afternoon or a policyholder who has just been told to find somewhere — one call and you will know what is available and what happens next.
Common Questions
From both sides of a placement — the professionals arranging it and the families living through it.
Do you invoice the insurer directly?
Yes. We bill the insurer, loss adjuster or relocation agent against your claim or purchase order reference. The policyholder should not be fronting the cost of their own displacement and waiting to be reimbursed.
How quickly can someone move in?
Where the calendar allows, the same day. Both apartments are furnished, stocked and ready, and self check-in means access details can be sent while a family is still travelling — there is no office to reach and no key handover to arrange.
What happens if the repairs overrun?
They usually do. Tell us as soon as you know and we will extend at the agreed rate wherever the calendar allows, rather than repricing or moving the family on. If we genuinely cannot hold the dates we will say so early, so there is time to plan.
Am I covered for this on my policy?
Most home insurance policies include alternative accommodation while your home is uninhabitable — look for “alternative accommodation”, “additional living costs” or “loss of rent”, usually with a limit per claim. Your insurer or loss adjuster confirms and authorises it, so speak to them first. Cover varies, so we cannot promise what yours includes.
Can we bring a pet?
Ask us before the placement is confirmed. We handle it case by case rather than having a blanket rule, and we would far rather give you a straight answer up front than have a family turn up with the dog and find it is a problem.
How long can a placement run?
Nightly, weekly or monthly, and these apartments are set up for the longer end of that. Placements running weeks or months are exactly what a self-contained apartment suits better than a hotel.
Are bills and Wi-Fi included?
Yes. All utilities, superfast full fibre Wi-Fi, linen and towels, and parking are included in the rate. There is nothing for the family to set up or connect, and nothing unexpected landing on the invoice at the end.
Is there cleaning during a longer stay?
Yes — mid-stay cleans and linen refreshes can be arranged on longer placements. Tell us the frequency you want when you book and we will build it in.
How big a household can you take?
The two bedroom sleeps up to four and the one bedroom up to two — up to six guests across our two apartments. They are separate, self-contained homes, so the two bedroom is the one for a family and the one bedroom suits a couple or single.
Do you have a travel cot and highchair?
Yes. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, so a family with a baby or toddler does not need to find or pack their own in the middle of everything else. Mention it when the placement is made and they will be set up before you arrive.
Where exactly are you?
Haydock in Merseyside, five minutes from M6 Junction 23 and the A580 East Lancs Road. That keeps Warrington, St Helens, Wigan, Manchester and Liverpool all within reach — so school runs, work and visits back to the damaged property stay manageable.
