The Betway Last Fling
One Of The North’s Great Courses
Racing on this parkland since 1899, and named Racecourse of the Year twice. Flat through the summer, jumps through the winter, and a Grade 1 chase in November that draws the best staying chasers in training.
How The Day Runs
Staying ten minutes away changes the shape of a raceday — mostly at the end of it, when everyone else is queuing for a taxi.
Arrive When You Like
Self check-in means no reception to catch. Drive up after work on the Friday, get the bags in and start the weekend properly.
Breakfast In, Not Out
A full kitchen and a proper table beats hunting a café at half eight. Sort the sweepstake over a fry-up.
Ten Minutes To The Track
Close enough to head over when the gates open rather than building the day around a long transfer. Taxi, lift or a designated driver — all short.
No Motorway Drive Home
The bit that matters. Everyone else is queuing for a taxi or facing an hour on the M6 — you are back at the apartment in ten minutes.
Carry On At The Apartment
A living room, a proper sofa and a smart TV to put the replays on. Cheaper than a round in town and nobody has to book a table.
A Slow Start
No checkout at ten with a sore head. Make a brew, get a shower, and head off when everyone is actually ready.
Two Apartments, Ten Minutes Away
Two separate apartments: the two bedroom for a family or friends of up to four, the one bedroom for a couple or a pair. Up to six guests across both.

Somewhere To Come Back To
A proper living room and a kitchen you can actually use — which counts for a lot after a long afternoon at the track.
Make A Weekend Of It
Two nights around a Saturday card works out better than one — and booking direct gets you better rates. Tell us the meeting and how many of you are coming and we will price it direct.
Raceday Questions
What racegoers ask us before booking. Anything else, give us a call and we will answer it straight.
How far are you from Haydock Park racecourse?
About ten minutes. The racecourse sits at Newton-le-Willows where the M6 meets the A580, and we are five minutes from the same junction — so it is a short hop by car or taxi rather than a journey.
Can we book both apartments?
Yes. The two bedroom sleeps up to four and the one bedroom up to two, so there is room for up to six guests across the two apartments. They are separate, self-contained apartments rather than one shared space — ask for both when you enquire and we will price them as one booking.
When is the Betfair Chase?
Saturday 21 November 2026. It is the first Grade 1 chase of the jumps season and the biggest day in Haydock’s calendar, so local accommodation goes early — if you want those dates, book well ahead. Always confirm the date with the racecourse before booking travel.
Is there parking?
Yes, and it is free. The two bedroom has allocated and visitor spaces in a secure gated car park, and the one bedroom has plenty of free on-site parking. Leave the car with us and take a taxi to the course if you are having a drink.
Can we check in late after racing?
You can. Both apartments have self check-in and your access details are sent before you travel, so arriving after an evening meeting or a late finish is no problem at all.
Do you do one-night stays for a raceday?
Where the calendar allows, yes — though around the bigger meetings we may ask for two nights. Send us the date you are after and we will tell you straight away what is possible.
What racing does Haydock hold?
Both codes. Flat racing runs through the summer months and National Hunt over the winter, so there is racing at Haydock for most of the year. The autumn Betfair Chase meeting is the flagship.
Do you sell racecourse tickets?
No — we are the accommodation, not the racecourse. Tickets come from The Jockey Club directly at thejockeyclub.co.uk/haydock, and booking those early usually works out cheaper. We will happily point you at the right raceday.
Is it cheaper to book direct with you?
It is. Booking direct means no platform commission, so we can price better than the third-party sites and be more flexible on arrival times and extra nights around a meeting.
Booking For The Races?
Tell us the meeting, your dates and how many of you there are — we will confirm availability and come back with a direct rate.
